Location

The tunnel's south portal (entrance) is located in historic downtown Brockville at Armagh Sifton Price Park, directly south of City Hall at Water St.

In fact, the tunnel runs directly under City Hall, and continues under Victoria Avenue for 4 city blocks; from Water St to King St, to Pine St, to James St, and exits just north of Pearl St. 

The tunnel's north portal is currently known to the locals as the "North Gorge". The newly paved path outside the north end is a long but gradual slope from the tunnel entrance up to a gravel parking area. This hill is paved and meets ADA standards for accessibility. You can enter this parking area at the corner of Brock St and Tunnel Ave (please note that Tunnel Ave is now a one way street running south from Brock St to Pearl St).  The GPS address for this lot is 8 Brock Street.

The Brockville Railway Tunnel Committee's dream is to develop this unfinished area into "Tunnel Park" (visit our Project Vision page for more info).
